Virtual psychiatric care in Washington & Montana for substance use, addiction, ADD/ADHD, sleep disorders, PTSD

Dr. Troy Henley, DNP, PMhNp-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I'm looking forward to coming alongside and walking with you as your mental health journey unfolds. In 2023 I completed my doctoral training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I earned my board certification in the fall of that same year. Since then I've had opportunities to work with clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of mental health needs. After so many positive outcomes with so many different clients over the past few years, it's hard to say if I have any 'favorite' area of focus. Whether you're looking for help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or ADHD, or perhaps struggling with psychosis, bipolar disorder, or substance use, (or any combination of those) I'm confident that, working together, we can create positive change in your life.

In addition to my expertise with prescribing psychiatric medications and doing talk therapy (ACT and CBT, amongst others), I try to integrate alternative and complimentary treatments whenever I can while working hard to highlight opportunities for holistic change. I am passionate about helping my clients build resilience and adaptability. I view myself as part of your larger care team and look forward to joining forces with your family, primary care provider, therapist, naturopath, faith community, and whoever else is fighting with you and for you as you seek to flourish as a whole person.

Our first several sessions will be focused on a comprehensive medical and mental health history and articulating your needs, hopes, concerns, and goals. While I often prescribe medication and order tests as part of our first visit, this will not always happen. Developing a safe and effective treatment plan for you may require more dialogue beyond our first appointment. If this is so, I will endeavor to make sure our follow up appointment happens as soon as possible so you aren't left waiting weeks or months for help.
